Since Resident Evil Village presented itself in detail during the Resident Evil Showcase, the title continues to be talked about and especially to hypnotize players thanks to the presence of Lady Dimitrescu. Besides, this gigantic woman wearing a magnificent hat is our topic of the day. Indeed, the latter now offers four new artworks!

Tomonori Takano, the creator of the mysterious Alcina Dimitrescu, therefore spoke with IGN to share with us a handful of concept art and to come back to the conception of this famous villain who will haunt us in Resident Evil Village. So we learn that it all started when Tomonori Takano chose to turn Mia into a ghostly character.

We reused Mia’s character model from Resident Evil VII and made her wear a dress and a hat. I thought that would be enough to make her look ghostly, but she wasn’t scary. So we decided to make the model of this character much bigger and that was the start of Lady Dimitrescu. I drew a concept art in which she bends over to go through a door. That’s when I felt it was going to work. Tomonori Takano, artistic director of Resident Evil Village

We learn at the same time that the size of Alcina Dimitrescu (the latter measures almost three meters high) allowed the developers to show metaphorically and physically the power of her powers. Of course, Lady Dimitrescu will not occupy this Gothic castle alone, since she will also be accompanied by several of her daughters. starting with Bela, the calmest and oldest, but also with Cassandra, a particularly sadistic woman and Daniela. The latter, younger than all the others, is described as the craziest and therefore the most unstable. Note that for Tomonori Takano and Morimasa Sato, the game director, it was essential to give a family to the new villain of this opus in order to echo that of Ethan Winters.
