There’s no doubt that Capcom has restored Resident Evil to its former glory with Resident Evil 7: Biohazard, Resident Evil 2, Resident Evil 3, and Resident Evil Village, so it’s understandable that the hype that preceded the release of Resident Evil 4 was huge. The final product needs some tweaking, as we’ve already told you in our review, but there’s no doubt that as a remake and facelift of the 2005 original, Resident Evil 4 is one of games of the year. And it looks like there are plenty (but plenty) of players who can already say the same.
Capcom has announced that Resident Evil 4 has sold more than 3 million copies in its first two days. That means it’s already had a better release than Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil Village, which took four days to sell the same number of copies.
Impressive numbers, no doubt. Especially since Resident Evil 4 is not available on Xbox One, could that mean that this remake of what many consider the best game in the franchise will end up becoming the best-selling Resident Evil in history? ?
What do you think of Resident Evil 4 so far?
