Bloomberg reported that more Xbox employees lost their jobs this week as part of Microsoft’s ongoing plan to roll out 10,000 layoffs across the company, while the Surface and HoloLens divisions were also affected.

According to the outlet, the Xbox discounts this time around have affected the marketing team and the Gaming Ecosystem group, though details have yet to be revealed. Xbox boss Phil Spencer also reportedly emailed employees on Thursday to let them know what was going on.

Here’s a bit of what he apparently had to say:

“I encourage everyone to take the time and space to process these changes and support your colleagues.”

In January, when those plans for 10,000 layoffs were first announced, news broke that companies like Halo studio 343 Industries had been affected, with Phil Spencer admitting it was a ‘difficult time for our business’ .

Chances are we’ll hear more Xbox layoffs over the next few months, but hopefully there won’t be. Also many job cuts to come for the brand.
