Expected for the first half of the year, the PS5 exclusive from Insomniac Games will not miss its appointment
From June 11, Ratchet & Clank : Rift Apart will be available on PS5. If it will be an excellent gateway for newcomers in view of its complete and independent history, the old ones will obviously be able to detect deep links with the previous games of the license of the American studio Insomniac Games like the Carbonox armor of Ratchet & Clank 2 (2003) enhanced with ray-traced effects and the Pixelizer weapon from the Ratchet & Clank (2016) “reboot”.

Although the journey between dimensions is the trigger for the story, Creative Director Marcus Smith specifies that the main theme of this completely new adventure will be duality: “Ratchet and Clank are proof that two beings with opposite characters can make a formidable team. And when dimensions and realities merge, with alternate worlds and characters, this theme takes on a whole new dimension!”

Marcus Smith gives an update on the adventure that awaits the players: “When Dr. Nefarious uses a device to travel between dimensions to find a galaxy where he wins every time, Ratchet and Clank are suddenly separated. While moving heaven and earth to find each other, our heroes will meet a Lombax who fights for freedom, explore new worlds (and rediscover some of them in a new light!) And fight with a multitude of weapons as devastating as they are crazy.”
