Recently, Rainbow Six Quarantine was in the headlines due to a possible name change due to possible parallels to the corona pandemic. Now the focus seems to be on the actual game again, as the first beta test of the tactical shooter is just around the corner.

According to current reports, the publisher Ubisoft started a few days ago to send the first emails to selected participants for a “technical test” of Rainbow Six Quarantine. To be precise, the mail referred to a “tactical co-op experience in the Tom Clancy universe for three players”.

But this description applies relatively clearly to the upcoming single-player offshoot of Rainbow Six. The invitation also states that the test of the tactical shooter will take place on the PC as well as the PS4 and Xbox One.

More details on the start date of the “Technical Test” and the preload options are to follow in a further email. There is also no information about the content so far.

Furthermore, participants in this test phase must sign an NDA. It is therefore clear that streamers and YouTubers are not allowed to show any material from the game on the respective platforms.

The report also shows that the number of participants appears to be relatively small. Ubisoft may initially want to hold the test on a smaller scale and then expand it at a later date. We will keep you up to date on this.
