Soon you can get Rage 2 on Epic for free

With the latest gift from the Epic Games Store, the next free game has already been revealed. Or The Games, because there are two at once. From February 18 to 25, you can secure the brute first-person shooter Rage 2 and the physics-based racing game Absolute Drift.

Soon available for free at Epic: Rage 2 and Absolute Drift

Rage 2: Avalanche Studios and id Software only released the game under Bethesda’s flag in 2019. You notice the influence of the Doom developer id strongly, because Rage 2 relies on a very familiar feeling of fast movement, versatile fighting skills and explosive firing, which we also know from the latest Doom games.

However, Rage 2 combines these elements with an open game world, which Avalanche specializes in with its own Apex engine. The Swedish developer is best known for the Just Cause series, the hunting game Hunter: Call of the Wild and Mad Max.

Absolute Drift: The second gift is about physics, driving and skill. You drive a racing car while you have a bird’s eye view of the action. You can complete difficult courses by drifting around curves with precision and mastering the many different tasks.

The whole thing presents itself in a greatly reduced look, since Absolute Drift almost completely dispenses with textures. If you don’t know about the upcoming free game, check out a gameplay trailer.
