Another Ocean Interactive is still playing on winter projectand just arrived with a new “Speak the Truth” update.
One of the main things here is that ToxMod has been implemented for voice moderation. There are also numerous balance tweaks and bug fixes.
The full patch notes for Project Winter’s “Speak the Truth” update are as follows:
NEW FEATURES AND GENERAL CHANGES:
Toxmod
- We partnered with Modulate to test their voice moderation software called ToxMod.
- ToxMod works by analyzing in-game voice chat audio. You can think of it as an extra unbiased player in your lobby, finding and reporting toxic incidents. If it detects toxic activity, it marks it as such and sends that audio to us in a report. ToxMod allows us to replay tagged audio in a game without a player recording it. Other Ocean and Modulate take player privacy seriously: any survivor audio will be anonymized and automatically deleted after 30 days.
- ToxMod is not an automatic ban system; nothing will change in the way we apply our community guidelines. You will not be banned for swearing or joking friendly with your friends. We will continue to manually review each case, carefully review the context, and investigate before taking any action.
Timeline update
- We’ve revamped and updated the timeline screen to show the time and location of match events.
- This will allow players to see which areas of the map saw the most action and get a better idea of what was happening on the map.
