Pokémon TCG Pocket players, get ready to dive into the Blastoise Drop Event! This limited-time event, running from January 1st to 15th, 2025, gives players a chance to snag exclusive promo cards, including a dazzling full-art Blastoise.

The event centers around a series of PvE (player versus environment) solo battles against four Blastoise-themed decks of increasing difficulty: Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced, and Expert. Each victory offers a chance to obtain Promo Pack A Series Vol. 3, which contains one of five unique promo cards.

Blastoise Makes a Splash in Pokémon TCG Pocket’s New Drop Event

The star of the show is, of course, the full-art Blastoise, boasting 150 HP and the powerful Hydro Pump attack. While functionally similar to the Blastoise found in the Genetic Apex set, this promo card features brand-new artwork depicting the iconic Water-type Pokémon.

Joining Blastoise are four other exciting promo cards: a fiery Volcarona, a supportive Cinccino, a new Snivy with unique attacks, and an adorable new Eevee. The Volcarona and Cinccino are alternate art reprints, while Snivy and Eevee are brand-new additions.

Each pack opening offers a random chance at any of these cards, adding a thrilling element of surprise.

Besides the coveted promo packs, players can also earn valuable rewards like Shinedust, Shop Tickets, XP, and Event Hourglasses. Event Hourglasses reduce the timer on pack openings, while Shinedust adds cosmetic flair to your cards.

Additional Event Hourglasses

Completing specific battle tasks, such as knocking out opponents with certain Pokémon types or playing specific cards, will grant additional Event Hourglasses. First-time victories against each deck also reward players with Pack Hourglasses and other goodies.

To maximize your chances of collecting all the promo cards, focus on battling the Expert deck once you unlock it. The higher the difficulty, the greater your odds of receiving a Promo Pack.

Don’t hesitate to Experiment

Consider using a Lightning-type deck, as these Pokémon have an advantage against Water types. Decks featuring Pikachu ex are particularly effective due to their high damage output. Remember, stamina is only consumed upon winning, so don’t hesitate to experiment and refine your strategies before committing to a battle.

Don’t miss out on this exciting opportunity to enhance your collection and dominate the Pokémon TCG Pocket arena with these powerful new cards!

The Blastoise Drop Event is a splash of fun for players of all levels, offering both exciting rewards and a chance to test your deck-building skills.

Remember, the event ends on January 15th, so make the most of it while you can! Keep an eye on the in-game news for updates, as event details are subject to change.
