Pokémon Scarlet and Violet will soon receive two new legendary creatures.
Earlier today on February 27, a new Pokemon Presents showcase went live, revealing a brand new feature for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. Both games are getting new legendary creatures, but they’re known as Paradox Legendaries this time around, for some reason.
Pokémon Scarlet players will be able to encounter Walking Wake (a Suicune), while the new legendary creature for Pokémon Violet players is called Iron Leaves (a Virizion). Both creatures, when available, can only be captured through Tera Raid Battles in both games.
We don’t know when the new Tera Raid battles will begin, but it should be very soon. The Pokemon Presents showcase said both Paradox Legendaries will debut Scarlet and Violet after maintenance ends, so keep an eye out for an official announcement later on February 27.
Elsewhere for Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, new DLC expansions for both games have been revealed. The Teal Mask is the first part of the DLC story and will be available later this year in Fall 2023, while The Indigo Disc will complete the expansion story a bit later in Winter 2023.
In the second part of this new DLC, you will become an exchange student in another academy, opening the way to new characters and creatures. Pokemon Scarlet and Violet may have been released last year, but it looks like 2023 will be huge for both games, with new Paradox Legendaries and two episodes of DLC.
