Cities: Skylines fans are pretty sure that Paradox Interactive and Colossal Order will announce a sequel to the hit strategy game next week.

Yesterday, Paradox Interactive announced a big game show. At the next presentation, three new titles will be unveiled. Many fans are sure that among them will be Cities: Skylines 2continuation of the successful economic strategy game 2015.

  1. The main reason for this speculation is that among the new games announced is another project from Colossal Order, the makers of Cities: Skylines.
  2. The team has been working on its next game for several years. The sequel to the team’s biggest hit seems like the most likely candidate.
  3. On the Paradox games subreddit, fans seem pretty sure that Cities: Skylines 2 will be among the games revealed. It is the same in Blood.

If those guesses turn out to be correct, we’ll find out next week. The Paradox show will take place on March 6 this year. The broadcast will begin at 6:00 p.m. CET. You can see it in full, among other places, on Twitch and YouTube.

While the announcement of Cities: Skylines 2 will likely be the highlight of the event, the show will also offer plenty of other highlights. A new project from Harebrained Schemes, famous for the BattleTech trilogy and Shadowrun, will also be unveiled.

To this will be added the launch of a game by Paradox Tectonic, a team led by Rod Humble (who worked, among other things, on The Sims 2 and The Sims 3). We’re curious if it will be a Sims rival by any chance. Throwing the gauntlet to EA in this category might seem reckless, but the same has been said about trying to compete with SimCity, and now Cities: Skylines is the leader among city-building strategies.
