Early gamers rated Hogwarts Legacy on Steam and Metacritic. His reviews are all positive. Additionally, game streams are extremely popular on Twitch.

Hogwarts Legacy has finally made its official Steam debut. Thus, users of the Valve platform – both the hundreds of thousands who have been playing since February 7 and those who are just starting out – have had the opportunity to review the game.

In just over two hours, there were over 12,000 reviews. Up to 95% of them are positive.

Thus, Hogwarts Legacy performed better on Steam than on Metacritic.com, and with a much higher review count. Average user ratings on the latter for individual versions of Avalanche Software’s latest work are shown below:

  • PC – 8.4/10 (409 ratings);
  • PS5 – 9.1/10 (1064 ratings);
  • XSX/S – 9.1/10 (241 ratings).

So, in general, players agree on the quality of Hogwarts Legacy. As for the game itself, everything is basically praised, from the beautiful depiction of the known world in the Harry Potter books and movies, to the enjoyable and fun combat system.

However, negative reviews can also be found. A small part of the players who started their adventure with Hogwarts Legacy on Tuesday complain, for example, about the inconsistency of the story, pointing to holes in the plot. However, such people are relatively few in number.

Besides criticism focused primarily on the game’s performance, especially on PC. However, it seems that this problem does not affect all hardware configurations, although even on PCs equipped with a graphics card like the GeForce RTX 3070, minor clipping occurs.

However, Hogwarts Legacy on Steam is played by multitudes. As I write these words, the title runs in stories of more than 670,000 users (A better result, around 972K, was for Counter-Strike: Global Offensive alone.) Slightly less – though still a lot – around 501,000 people watch the game’s streams on Twitch.
