When Pure Xbox relaunched in early 2020, one of the things we used to do as part of those weekly Pick One features was ask the PX community which classic Xbox games they’d like to see remastered.
We did a bunch of them over several weeks, and the first three games that came out as winners were The Simpsons Hit & Run, Gotham Racing Project there left for dead. Unfortunately, we’re not close to getting a remaster for any of them, so we thought we’d take this opportunity to revisit the old concept and pit these titles against each other.
Remember that you can only choose one!
Let’s see what we are working on:
On this page:
- Project Gotham Racing (2001)
- 4 Dead Left (2008)
- The Simpsons: Hit & Run (2003)
Project Gotham Racing (2001)
“Xbox Super Slick Gotham Racing Project lets players jump into over 20 licensed cars and race on over 300 tracks in cities around the world. Additionally, the game features over 100 single-player and wheel-to-wheel challenges, an arcade mode, and a four-person multiplayer option. You may want to recline your seat; it could be a long journey.
4 Dead Left (2008)
“From Valve (the creators of Counter-Strike, Half-Life and more) comes Left 4 Dead, a cooperative action-horror game for PC and Xbox 360 that engages up to four players in an epic battle for survival against a swarm of undead hordes and terrifying mutant monsters.
The Simpsons: Hit & Run (2003)
“Springfield’s greatest driving hazards are on the loose! Go crazy in illegal bumpers and chaotic head-on collisions as your favorite Simpsons character. Unbuckle your seatbelt and get on your feet to investigate crop circles spooky and an evil plot threatening to destroy Springfield. Drop that donut and grab the wheel!”
