Most people thought Perfect Dark would be a first-person shooter, just like its predecessors. While that’s probably correct, it looks like the game will have third-person gameplay as well.
In a new job posting for a Lead Gameplay Animator at Crystal Dynamics, it says that one of the requirements for the person applying is: “Extensive knowledge of game systems (specifically third and first year experience). person with weapons, movement, melee and ranged weapons)”.
Aside from the short trailer below, which was shown alongside Perfect Dark’s announcement in 2021, we don’t know much else about the title other than The Initiative and Crystal Dynamics who co-develop the new adventure. Joanna Dark. It’s not expected to be announced this year, and the most reasonable guess right now is that we’ll be playing this remake in 2025 at the earliest.
