During the last Casually Grounded stream on Twitch, Obsidian announced that they were working on a new update for Grounded, their multiplayer version of “Honey I Shrunk the Kids” backyard survival.
Concretely, the next update will integrate a novelty related to the mutations eagerly awaited by the players. Custom mutation loadouts will allow players to be able to modify any mutations they have on the fly when needed. These will alternate depending on the player’s needs when fighting against different enemies and even for other activities such as collecting materials.
This new feature has been very well received by the gaming community, as custom loadouts can be a great help in emerging victorious from certain situations where demand and time are against it. According to the study, they also hope that the novelty will encourage many old players to return to the game, as has already happened in other title updates.
No other details were provided, but more information on this new expansion will be detailed in the coming weeks.
Grounded is available on PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series and via Game Pass.
