Will the new map for Warzone be the largest in CoD history? If several established insiders are to be believed, there could be battles with up to 250 players at the same time in the Ural Mountains, while the size of Verdansk is once again exceeded.
We’ll tell you where the alleged information comes from and what speaks for or against the speculation.
That’s what the insiders say
According to old and new rumors, the new map for Call of Duty: Warzone goes to Verdansk and Rebirth Island in the Ural Mountains. This has not been officially confirmed, but various insiders and leakers agree on the setting of the upcoming card.
We have summarized the latest or currently relevant leak information for you as follows.
Ural map larger than Verdansk: So the Ural map is actually supposed to be larger than Verdansk. In this regard, there have been rather contradicting statements in the past few weeks, now InfoCoDEsp_2 is re-emphasizing this claim on Twitter.

Specifically, it is said that there should be up to 23 different locations, while the Ural map is partly composed of well-known multiplayer maps – ModernWarzone already made a similar statement in December 2020. The combination of the Fireteams was already made explicit here -Maps from Black Ops: Cold War Spoken.
More vehicles are available: If the new warzone map actually turns out to be as large as speculated, players should of course fall back on the corresponding number of vehicles. This prognosticated aspect of the Urals map is taken up again, but not deepened. In the past, helicopters and boats have been mentioned, among other things.
Lobbies for up to 250 players: So far, Verdansk has been a playground for a maximum of 150 players. The Ural map is supposed to exceed this with 100 more players. Up to 250 Warzone fans should be able to cavort on the map at the same time – as Tom Henderson announced in January 2021 and InfoCoDEsp_2 now substantiates the claim.
How reliable is the information?
Said information comes from a quite reliable source: All leakers or insiders hit the mark in the past with their statements. Nevertheless, you should definitely enjoy the statements with caution until they are officially confirmed, because even insiders can be wrong.
For example, the atomic explosion predicted for the beginning of March in Verdansk and the alleged destruction of the map did not materialize to this day – but this does not necessarily mean that all the leaks were wrong. It is just as possible that the developers postponed any plans or thrown them overboard at short notice due to the leaked information.
What speaks against the Ural card for 250 players?
That 250 players cavort on a single map sounds like fun at first. However, there are also some reasons that speak against it or at least invalidate the feature.
250-player modes, perhaps only as a limited-time event: Tom Henderson, for example, has already speculated that the Urals map will only have space for 250 players in the course of time-limited events. Normally, this would only allow for the previous limit of 150 players.
Feature has to pass the test first: Likewise, the 250-player lobbies could be an idea from the developers that, although tested, did not successfully pass this phase before the release. After all, studios are constantly trying out new concepts that don’t necessarily have to make it into the finished game.
Do the servers even pack that? Finally, of course, the question arises to what extent the servers can withstand an onslaught of 250 players at the same time. Problems often arise with 150-player lobbies – 100 more might bring the server to its knees.
