Do you want to know more about New Genshin Impact Characters? With each new update there is usually at least one banner with at least one new character. Banners feature characters with higher drop rates, including one five-star character and three four-star characters.
While we know which characters will likely appear in upcoming Genshin Impact banners, the characters featured in this guide may not be playable at this time, but they can be found in Genshin Impact right now. We have also included some characters who are rumored to join the free PC game in the future, but they may not have an in-game model at this time. While none of this information is official until Hoyoverse says otherwise, here’s a rundown of all the current rumors and speculation.
New and upcoming characters for Genshin Impact are:
Genshin Impact 3.6 characters
Baizhu
Baizhu is an NPC in Genshin Impact and is the owner of Bubu Pharmacy in Liyue. He possesses a vision of Dendro and was officially announced as a playable character. Baizhu’s announcement is released in the second half of the Genshin Impact 3.6 update.
Kaveh
Kaveh is a future Dendro character and a “renowned Sumeru architect”, also known as the Light of Kshahrewar and an industry figurehead. As a four-star character, there is technically no Kaveh banner, so to speak, but he does appear on the Ganyu and Baizhu banner.
Upcoming Genshin Impact Characters
Fake
Considered the strongest person in Mondstadt, Varka is the Grand Master and Knight of Boreas, a subsection of the Knights of Favonius. As with most upcoming Genshin Impact characters, it’s unknown when Varka will likely be available. Varka has been mentioned by various in-game characters, but currently has no in-game role model. Varka is currently on an expedition, leaving Jean in charge of the Knights of Favonius.
Dainsleif
Dainsleif, the Bough Keeper, was officially announced by Hoyoverse during Tokyo Game Show 2020; however, no release date was attached. His voice actor has been announced, but we have no indication when he might arrive. Dainsleif hails from Khaenri’ah, an underground realm not part of Teyvat itself, so maybe someday in the future we’ll meet Dainsleif while exploring his homeland.
Lyney and Lynette
Lyney and Lynette were revealed in the same story preview video as presumably twins dressed as wizards, hailing from Fontaine, an inspired region of France. There is speculation that they could be recruited in pairs and can switch places with each other in battle, though that might not be more than a good idea.
Iansan
Iansan was also revealed in the Teyvat Chapter Storyline video, in the Natlan section. We think she’s a Pyro user, but we’ll have to wait until we visit Natlan to find out more about her.
These are all new Genshin Impact characters that we believe have a reasonable chance of appearing in the game. We’ll be adding new candidates as we discover them. In the meantime, here are the best Genshin Impact characters for beginners and the best Genshin Impact weapons to equip them with.
