It was announced on March 7, 2023 via the official press release monster hunter Blood Note that the iOS and Android mobile versions of monster hunter stories are on sale. Both will be available at a discounted price of $4.99, down from their normal price of $19.99, until March 22, 2023.
monster hunter stories is a monster farming RPG derived from monster hunter. It was initially released on the Nintendo 3DS in 2016. It was later ported to mobile platforms in 2018. It sees the player grow into a young man who can tame and fight alongside monsters. The player must find the source of a disease known as Black Blight which drives monsters mad.
There are a few differences between the 3DS and the mobile versions of monster hunter stories. The 3DS version supports amiibo. Meanwhile, the mobile port features DLC content that the 3DS version never had.
In 2021, a sequel titled Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin. Released on Nintendo Switch and PC, wings of ruin it introduces more monster farming adventures as well as new features such as multiplayer cooperative battles.
