Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 Season 2 Reloaded launched today and one of the new features is a brand new map called Himmelmatt Expo, but players are not happy. While the map is meant to be a completely new design rather than a redesigned previous map, many feel the map is too similar to Bailout from the original Modern Warfare 2.
What are the similarities between Himmelmatt Expo and Bailout?
On the surface, the two cards look quite different. The new Himmelmatt Expo is a 6v6 Modern Warfare 2 central map set in a modern convention center with restaurant, swimming pool, sculpture garden, conference hall and rotunda. By contrast, Bailout has become an abandoned apartment complex with many apartments and connected parking lots. Players complain that the former looks a lot like the latter due to the interconnected buildings and pool, though those fears seem unfounded.

Himmelmatt Expo has a completely different map layout than Bailout. While Bailout was a long map with lots of sniper sight lines and individual buildings, Himmelmatt Expo is a more compact map with a single building taking up around 40% of the map area. The good news is that other players are really happy to have received a new map that isn’t just a map from a previous Call of Duty game with a new skin.
Other additions that arrived with the Season 2 Reloaded update include new game modes, events, and weapons. In the meantime, a new operator will arrive next week.
