Microsoft has since released a statement to various reporters about the matter, stating that the company “(has) not released any PlayStation games.” Here’s a preview of the statement in full, courtesy of Eurogamer:
“We haven’t removed any PlayStation games. In fact, we’ve expanded our footprint of games we’ve shipped on Sony’s PlayStation since our acquisition of ZeniMax, and the first two games we shipped after the shutdown were PlayStation 5 exclusives. We’ve done the same since we shut down Minecraft as we’ve expanded the reach of this franchise.
“All of the games that were available on PlayStation when we acquired ZeniMax in March 2021 are still available on PlayStation, and we have continued to make content updates on PlayStation and PC. We have always said that future decisions to distribute whether or not ZeniMax games for other consoles will be taken on a case-by-case basis.”
It’s hard to say exactly what happened to Redfall – the original interview apparently alluded to the game being planned for PS5 at some point in its lifecycle – but that doesn’t necessarily mean it was already. in development.
As Microsoft says, everything since the Bethesda acquisition now has the potential to be exclusive to Xbox (and PC), and that’s obviously what was decided in the case of red dropwith the tastes of star field It’s included RUSH HIFI.
