Microsoft Flight Simulator: World Update 3 should appear Today – Information about the Patch

The developers of Asobo Studio have planned the activation of World Update 3 for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 for today.

The new patch should be available as a download after several postponements during the course of Tuesday. A specific time is not available.

If the developers stick to the previous release times for today’s update, the patch should be available between 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. It is already known which changes and innovations the update will bring about. The focus is on new details for Great Britain and Ireland.

The Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 World Update 3 contains, among other things, 70 more sights, five additional airports (Barra, Liverpool, Land’s End, Manchester-Barton and Out Skerries), two new landing challenges and photogrammetry data for five more cities (London , Cambridge, Oxford, Birmingham and Bristol).

The patch was previously scheduled to be released on February 11th. However, the developers announced at short notice that they would have to postpone the update once more in order to be able to carry out final fine-tuning work.

Due to various problems with the new photogrammetry data, the patch had to be re-dated from February 2nd to February 11th.

If nothing else comes up, the update should finally be available for download today. By the way, the developers have already announced World Update 4 for the end of March. This should contain new data for France and the Benelux countries.
