We’ll have to wait a little longer Melon Journey: Bittersweet Memoriesbecause XSEED just announced a delay for the game.
The retro-inspired story exploration game was originally slated for release on March 7, 2023. It will now release on April 6. No reason for the delay was provided.
It’s not all bad news though, as to catch up on Melon Journey: Bittersweet Memories, XSEED, Poppyworks and Froach Club have released a remixed compilation of composer Markeryjane’s electronica and jazz-inspired soundtrack. It reaches almost three hours through twelve titles.

And here is an overview of the game:
What power has a single melon! When Cantaloupe goes missing, the melon factory worker Honeydew leaves his shift at Eglantine Industries for Hog Town, where melons are banned and corruption runs rampant. As the search for Honeydew begins, a series of intertwined mysteries begin to unfold in the new story exploration game Melon Journey: Bittersweet Memories. Is Cavity Crew a real threat? Is Kitten King the cause of all this? Honeydew will have to comb through every inch of the green-tinged pixelated world, every step accompanied by the rhythms of the lo-fi jazz soundtrack, to save the day in this monochromatic mystery filled with eccentric personalities. Who knew so many problems could come from a single melon?
Melon Journey: Bittersweet Memories will be sold digitally through the eShop. It will cost $14.99, but a 10% introductory discount will apply until April 13.
