It is tomorrow that the 2021 edition of the League of Legends World Championships officially launches. It takes place from October 05 to November 06, with 79 matches on the program. Play-in, play-off and final stages, when to follow them? We found the schedule for you.

Almost two weeks after the team draw, Riot Games released the full schedule for 79 games for the 2021 League of Legends Worlds. First of all, the Play-In will be spread over four days with 24 meetings. This phase is used to determine the four teams to reach the main draw.

Then comes the Play-Off or also called Main Event : the sixteen teams, divided into four groups of four, will compete against each other in two stages (October 11 to 13, then October 15 to 18). The two best performing teams from each group will then qualify for the finals, from October 22 to November 06.

A match and a team to follow

It is therefore a busy schedule that awaits the League of Legends community. If it is difficult to follow all 79 matches of these worlds (30 minutes per game approximately), some matches may be more worth the candle than others: we think in particular of this tasty FunPlus Phoenix VS DWG Kia at the start of play-off. Why tasty? Because it is a meeting between the defending team and the sacred team in 2019.

And if there is a team to follow, it is Fnatic: after a mixed first part of the season, the European team narrowly clings to qualification for the Worlds. It is in particular thanks to the acquisition of the French player Adam “Adam” Maanane that Fnatic was able to punch his ticket for the Worlds of League of Legends.
