The side-scrolling action-RPG, Chronos: Dawn of Time, is launching in open beta. Anyone can download the game through the Elixir app and get a beta code to try out this alpha game, which includes PvP and PvE game modes.
Chronos: Dawn of Time is bringing its multiplayer RPG to open beta and launching on the increasingly popular Elixir platform. Elixir is about to establish itself as the Steam of web3 games!
To enter Chronos, players will need a beta code. These can be acquired by joining their Discord server and submitting a request ticket.
To help promote the release, Chronos is running a special contest. Players can enter by joining the new Ambush mode. Ambush mode features one to four players fighting in an arena against waves of increasingly difficult enemies. The competition offers a prize of $100. To participate, play in Ambush mode then post a screenshot of your best result in the #ambush-challenge section of the Chronos Discord server. You are allowed to make multiple entries if you exceed your previous high score.
Players don’t need to own any NFTs to play, but getting back on track once the starting gear is spent is not an easy process. Finding enough resources to craft is a long process and equipment wears out quickly. Players can buy NFT games in the open sea (Travelers – Items)
What is Chronos?
Chronos is a side-scrolling multiplayer role-playing game. Players share a central social hub with shops, crafting stations and more. They then venture through the portal to join a match. Chronos offers several game modes, including team PvP, survival arena PvE, and a mixed PvE/PvP mode.
Players can earn crafting resources and Dark Aether Tokens by playing matches. But each character has limited energy, which slowly recharges over time. Players can spend crystals to improve their character’s stats and spend skill points acquired in-game to upgrade and customize their characters with special abilities.
Avatars start out naked, but can equip various weapons and armor. A few initial quests help provide the player with basic gear. However, this equipment wears out with use and there is no possibility of repairing it. On the other hand, NFT items do not wear out, which makes them very useful! At the moment, there isn’t really a whole lot of NFT gear available for purchase, but the team says there will be a sale in the future, as well as an option for those with Travelers to hit NFTs.
Travelers are the NFT avatars of the game and come with stat boosts and other bonuses.
