In Hogwarts Legacy, the North Hall is a building in the Astronomy Wing of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. The north room does not have its own floo flame, but its entrance is very close to the floo flame in the transfiguration classroom. You can access the North Hall from the start of the game, but it has locked interior doors that can only be opened once you learn Alohomora’s lockpick spell during The Caretaker’s main story quest. Lunar Lament. One of these locked doors is on the top floor of the north hall and leads to a long hallway, at the end of which is one of the school’s arithmancy puzzle doors.

From left to right, the creature icons on the door arch represent the numbers 0-9, and the triangles drawn on the door are two equations you must solve to unlock the door. Solve the equations by rolling the triangles placed on the walls near the door, so that they show the creature icon that represents the missing numbers in the “?” And “??” gaps in the door.

The upper triangle indicates 2 + dragon (2) + ? = 10, so the “?” it should be 6. The salamander creature icon represents 6, so roll the “?” triangle to the left of the door until it shows the icon of a salamander creature.

The bottom triangle indicates 3 + 1 + ?? = 7, so the “??” must be 3, which is represented by the hydra creature icon. So throw out the “??” triangle to the right of the door until it shows a hydra creature icon. You can now open the door and find the Ruined High Staircase spell in the small chest, and good gear in the large chest.
