In February 2023, baseball fans will get an early preview of MLB The Show 23. For a week, developer Sony San Diego will perform a technical test of The Show 23. This will not only allow developers to see if the first version of MLB The Show 23 is working fine from a technical standpoint, it also marks a demo of the game that sports fans can watch for a limited time. How to participate
For those wondering, the MLB The Show 23 tech test is not a closed beta. It is open to the public and anyone with a participating console can play it.
As with the MLB The Show 22 Tech Test, all users need to do is go to their console’s online marketplace and search for The Show 23 Tech Test when it’s released. For example, Xbox users will want to go to the Store app and then search for “MLB The Show 23 Tech Test”.
Now, we should note that the technical test will be available for all platforms that will carry The Show 23. This includes Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. For those playing the beta, we should also note that San Diego Studios has given users the green light to post screenshots or videos on social media.
How long does it work?
The MLB The Show 23 technical test will last for one week. The beta will begin on February 15 at 1 p.m. ET and run until February 21.
For those new to technical testing, these are run for developers to put test servers through their paces. Additionally, it also allows the development team to receive feedback from the community on the initial state of the game.
