Sons of the Forest is the kind of game that lets you cook. For this, you can catch fish and various other animals that roam the forest. However, since hunting can take a long time, you can use traps to speed up the process. In this guide, we are going to talk about how to do a Bone Maker cheat in Sons of the Forest, which happens to be one of the best cheats in the game.
How to Create a Bonecrafting Trap in Sons of the Forest
Unlike the Fish Trap and Animal Trap, which are only used to catch small animals, the Bone Maker Trap can help catch large creatures. This should be used to capture animals such as deer and elk, as they are often difficult to hunt. However, the Bone Maker Trap cannot be crafted with sticks alone. Instead, you need 3 leaves, 1 rope, 3 stones, 1 bottle of vodka, and 2 sticks. All items can be easily found in the game except for the vodka bottle. It’s not a common item, so you might have to spend a lot of time finding it. We suggest you try looking for it in abandoned camps.

After gathering the necessary materials, open your crafting book and hold down the “X” key to switch modes. Then go to Traps and select Bone Maker Trap. Place the white outline wherever you want, preferably where there are animals nearby, and start placing objects using ‘E’. Once the trap is set, continue with your other tasks as it will take some time before the trap catches anything. But once it’s done, it will instantly set anything caught on fire, killing them instantly.

It is important to note that the Bone Maker Trap can also be used for defensive purposes, as it can also trap cannibals. When this happens, the cannibals are burned, after which only their bones remain. You can use these bones to craft different items. Keep in mind, however, that you can also get caught in your own trap, so be sure to keep a safe distance after setting it.
