In Diablo 3 Season 28, Reaper Wraps are all the rage. This item is now a vital tool in the Altar of Rites, so to get all of its seals and special perks, you’ll need to find Death’s Own Vestments. However, getting Reaper’s Wraps isn’t as easy as you might think.
Where to find Reaper casings in Diablo 3
For one thing, Reaper Wraps are easy to find. Malthael drops the recipe for them when you defeat him. All you have to do is beat the entire story arc of Act V: Westmarch, or you can jump into Adventure Mode and fight him right away. A word of warning though: Act V has the toughest enemies and bosses, so make sure you have a few levels and a good team with you before wasting hours trying to beat the underpowered Malthael. Then, once you have the blacksmith blueprint for Reaper’s Wraps, that’s where it gets a little trickier.

Reaper Wraps are not a cheap item to craft. To start, your blacksmith must be at Sovereign level, capable of crafting level 70 weapons. Upgrading your blacksmith alone costs 311,000 gold and one kill breath. Considering Death’s Breath doesn’t even drop from elite enemies until you reach level 61, you have to go through a lot of trials before Haedrig can craft this item. Then the mower wraps need a lot of items including:
- 64,000 gold
- 20 reusable pieces
- 20 Arcane Dust
- 30 veiled crystals
- Caldeum Nightshade
- War Arrest Tapestry
Where do Reaper wrappers fit on the altar of rites?
One of the special features of Diablo 3 Season 28 is the Altar of Rites. This altar allows you to offer materials in order to unlock seals and potions that improve your character. There are 29 sacrifices you need to make to clear the whole altar and get all the rewards. Reaper’s Wraps is the seventh sacrifice, which will be needed around the third or fourth level of the altar. Without Reaper’s Wraps, you can’t get any of the extra rewards, including bonus damage and crowd control immunity. So if you want your favorite Diablo 3 season character to become unstoppable, you’ll need to farm all the elites, bosses, and of course Malthael himself.
