There are many secrets hidden inside the castle in Hogwarts Legacy and some of them require you to enter areas where you are not supposed to go. There is a hidden chest deep in the castle in an area known as the Antechamber. I missed this chest, and you’ll have to backtrack a bit to open it in the future. Luckily, getting the contents of this chest is pretty straightforward if you know what you’re doing. This guide will show you how to get the Antechamber Chest in Hogwarts Legacy.

How to get to the chest in the antechamber of Hogwarts Legacy

Shortly after the game, Professor Fig will contact you to discuss what you discovered in Gringotts Bank at the start of the game. The two will agree that they need to access the restricted section of the library. Shortly after, you rally help from Sebastian to help you get in. By exploring the restricted section, you will find your way to the area known as the Antechamber. This dark area is full of threats, so be on your guard.

After going through the antechamber to the third room, you will see a chest with quite a large space separating you from it. Unfortunately, you can’t just jump over the gap to get the chest, and you certainly can’t use Accio to summon it to your side. Instead, you can easily get it by backtracking a bit.

Instead of trying to get through the gap where the chest is, go to the area to the left and you’ll see a path start to form. Go slowly and follow the path that forms to reach the chest. The path will wind up to the chest, giving you access to its contents. You should end up grabbing some gear from the chest. Once recovered, you can continue through the camera as normal. If you missed this chest, you can return to the antechamber at any time by returning to the restricted section of the library.
