In Fallout 76, there are a ton of items you can collect in Appalachia. Every material you collect or every piece of scrap you pick up is important in some way. One of the many items you can find in the desert are nuclear maps. These cards are one of the most important items you can get your hands on as they make the difference between being able to activate a nuke or not. This guide will show you how to get nuclear cards in Fallout 76.
Where to find nuclear maps in Fallout 76
Nuclear keycards are one of the most necessary items in the game, as they are needed to launch a nuclear bomb. You can’t enter launch control without having one on you. Of course, since they’re needed to drop a nuke on the wasteland, you can’t find them just anywhere. You will have to wait until the end of the game to get one and even then it is quite difficult.

To begin the process of obtaining a base card, you will need to go to the Whitespring Resort. Once there, head inside the bunker. From there, the repeatable mission called Hide and Seek and Destroy begins. This mission will ask you to search for a SAC Cargobot that carries the keycard. You will see the marker appear on the map with the location of the cargobot. Travel to the area and shoot down the vertibirds guarding the cargobot and the cargobot itself.

When the cargo bot drops, you can loot it to get the nuclear card. Remember to run away after looting the cargobot, as it will self-destruct soon after. You can also earn Nuclear Keycards from the Season Leaderboards by collecting points and progressing through the board rewards. Slots that reward nuclear keycards will normally give you five at a time.
