In any survival game, you’ll want to build yourself strong armor to defend against threats. In Sons of the Forest, this armor will help protect you from the cannibals and mutants that roam the island. One of the many types of armor you can build is Tech Armor. Luckily, most of the materials needed to craft this armor are fairly easy to find, so you shouldn’t have too much trouble with them. This guide will show you how to craft Tech Armor in Sons of the Forest.
How to make Tech Armor in Sons of the Forest
Like other armor in the game, you’ll need to gather materials and craft Tech Armor from scratch. Most of the materials are easy to obtain and one of them is more difficult; Technological mesh. To craft Tech Armor, you will need the following materials:
- 1 Batteries
- 1 wire
- 1 adhesive tape
- 1 circuit board
- 1 technological network
Everything on the above list can be found by searching the many camps that are scattered around the island. Most campgrounds have pull-out bins that usually hold the necessary items. It helps if you also have items like the flashlight to search the many caves as there are containers inside.

As for the Tech Mesh, you can only do it with a 3D printer. Luckily, there are several on the island, and the first can be found near spawn points. One of the 3D printer locations is on the west side of the island, near the Snowy Mountains, and is marked with a green marker on the map.

Once you find a 3D printer, use it to create Tech Mesh. With all the items available, you can combine them in your inventory. Technical armor will be created after a short animation and you will attach it to your wrist. Now you’ll be a little more protected while you’re trying to build yourself a house.
