Scenic Route is the sixth leg of the Utopia Expedition in No Man’s Sky. To complete it, you need to travel in your Exocraft for a decent number of units across the planet. This guide explains how to do this, so you’re not left wandering aimlessly through a world wondering why the stage won’t be completed.

How to travel for 2000u in No Man’s Sky

Distance in No Man’s Sky is measured in “you.” Each step you take in the game counts as a single game unit, so you would have walked 1u per step. To get to 2000u you have to push that to 2000 steps, and that’s a long way to go. We recommend riding an Exocraft to catch up. In our testing, this still completed the milestone.
The best way to do this is to complete the first four milestones of the Utopia Expedition to Planet Link. This ensures that you have a base and an Exocraft to travel in. Now set the system link milestone and head out in your Exocraft to find your ship. This will get you past the 2000u you need to clear the milestone before you even get to your ship. This will allow you to claim a pre-packaged Icarus Fuel System, Supreme Exocraft Engine Upgrade, and Exocraft Tech Blueprint Pack from the Expedition menu.

All Exocraft in No Man’s Sky can be much faster if you upgrade them with upgrade modules and more advanced technology. However, the fastest Exocraft is the Pilgrim. This is a two-wheeled Exocraft that is more nimble than any others in the game. The only problem is that if you hit a pothole or a hole in the ground, you’ll crash and lose maybe -be the Exocraft. For this reason, we like to use the Nomad and update it as soon as possible. The Nomad can climb just about anything and won’t get stuck in holes in the ground that will throw him into caves. If you happen to drop one, you can walk away with no problem.
