Marvel’s Midnight Suns features a plethora of unique hero-specific challenges that can grant rare abilities and unique cosmetics. Each also has a specific objective that must be completed within a set number of moves before players can obtain the aforementioned rewards. One of the first challenges players will face is called Child of Darkness, which is aimed at the game’s protagonist, the Hunter. If you’re having trouble filling it out, we’re here to help.

To complete the Child of Darkness challenge, you’ll need to destroy the crystal at the other end of the map by throwing one of the enemies inside. However, you will only be able to use a total of five charge cards and one whip card to achieve this. If you run out of moves at any point, you lose the challenge.

To do this you will first need to use one of your charge cards on the enemy to your left without killing them. Since the charge move does no damage, all you have to do after selecting it is aim it in the rightmost direction. This should prevent you from hitting walls or obstacles so you can survive.

Then, use another of your Charge cards on the enemy that holds a similar card. This time you will have to kill him, so feel free to aim anywhere as long as he eventually takes down the opponent. As soon as he is killed, another charge move will be added to his hand.

Next, you’ll want to use another carry ability on the first creature you moved earlier, but this time you’ll move it to the left lane. Again, your objective here will only be to move him and not kill him as this is the opponent you will be using to break the glass.

Once you move it to the left path, you can go ahead and use another of your Charge cards on the enemy that has the Whip ability. Feel free to kill this enemy as you will need to use Whip to complete the challenge.

After you kill him, you should only have one charge move and one whip move left in your hand. Use the remaining charge card you have on the creature you moved earlier and shove it all the way in just in front of the crystal. You can then use the Whip card to smash it against the glass once it’s been placed correctly.

As soon as the crystal breaks, another one will appear at the other end of the map, but this time you will receive the legendary hunter move called Bladestorm. Simply use this move on the new crystal to complete the challenge.
