There are many secrets in Hogwarts Legacy and it’s up to you to find them. Many secrets of the game world are hidden behind puzzles or side quests. When you combine them, you have the quest solved by the bell. More than just a word game, this quest lets you solve another bell puzzle that isn’t at Hogwarts. This guide will show you how to complete Solved by the Bell in Hogwarts Legacy.
How to start Solved by the Bell
Like the side quest, Cursed Tomb Treasure, you need to find a map to start the Solved by the Bell quest. This map can be found in Henrietta’s Hideaway, which is in the Manor Cape section of the map. Head to the hideout and enter the cliff below the ruins.

Once inside, you will need to solve the puzzle to open the door and gain access to the rest of the dungeon. To complete the puzzle, you must place the fire block on the plate in the room and use a fire spell on it, as well as an ice spell on the other block.

With the door open, you will automatically get a marker of where you can find the map. Fight your way through the dungeon to where the marker is. Be careful, some floors of the hideout are moving. Use Momentum Arrest on shifting floors to avoid being dragged through the dungeon to areas you don’t want to go. You’ll find the map on a table further down the dungeon.
Solved by Bell Tutorial at Hogwarts Legacy
Now that you have the map, look at it and you will see that there are several musical notes on it, as well as a picture of an island. It may sound cryptic, but the area is quite easy to find. Head east to the Floo Flame fast travel marker for Clagmar Castle. Once there, you will have to face many enemies and a boss, so be prepared.

Once all the enemies have been defeated, search the area for a series of alternating hanging bells. As the map shows, these bells represent notes on a scale. To solve the puzzle, you must hit the bells with basic magic attacks in the correct order. Ring the bells in the order of the image below.

When done correctly, the bells will ring Harry Potter The theme song and a chest will appear. Open the chest to add a skin option to your collection and complete the quest.
