World of Warcraft has many quests to complete throughout its long history. Legion introduced players to a new form of content called World Quests, which repeats tasks for rewards that periodically appear on the map. Dragonflight has perfected this system because world missions are quick and easy and appear less frequently. Some of them, however, can be downright frustrating. Gathering Magic is one such world quest. Let’s break down exactly what you need to do to complete it.

What to do for Gathering the Magic quest in WoW
The Gathering the Magic world quest can be quite frustrating in World of Warcraft. It doesn’t really give you hints or clues, and World Quest is unlike any other in terms of execution.
When you arrive, go to coordinates (x:38, y:62) in the Azure Archives area. Click on the glowing blue crystal to receive a five minute buff. Always make sure this perk is active as it is required to complete the quest. The buff significantly increases your jump height and can actually increase it more depending on how long you hold the space key.

Now you’ll want to look for glowing blue and gold spheres scattered across the sky in the Azure Archive. The lower orbs are blue while the upper ones are gold. The objective of this world mission is to hit them using the advantage to jump higher. Crossing them with a mount does not work.
The buff works the same way as the evoker’s enhanced cast. If you hold down the space bar for several seconds, it will fill a launch bar through different levels. The longer you hold it, the higher you jump. Each orb you jump to will add to the mission’s percentage bar, with blue orbs giving a small percentage and gold orbs giving a much larger one. Position yourself just below the orbs and hold the jump key. Letting go will launch you, and you can try maneuvering towards the orb if you don’t quite hit it.
It may take some getting used to and the quest may take a long time, but you will eventually complete it. Grab your reward, breathe a sigh of relief, and move on with the rest of the day.
