With a fairly robust character creator, wild hearts offers a plethora of different customization options. However, some players may be dissatisfied with the end result once they successfully log into the game. But instead of starting over with your character, especially if you’ve already committed to the routine, wild hearts allows you to change your appearance using Looking Glass Karakuri. That being said, there are certain requirements to do so.
First, players will need to progress through the main story until they can enter Minato. This is done by hunting Ragetail, Sapscourge, and Wildtusk. Each of these quests will follow in succession and unlock various things you can do in the game, ranging from creating unique Dragon Karakuri to unlocking core game features.
Once you reach Minato, you will be able to access his extended Karakuri upgrade tree. You can find it in your general menu, the same where you can consult your map. Later in this tree you can unlock the Looking Glass Karakuri. This mirror will allow you to change your appearance whenever you want. However, this can only be done on Minato, and it is suggested to place it somewhere that is not an enclosed space and has good natural light.
The fastest way to access Looking Glass Karakuri and be able to change your appearance in wild hearts it’s just grinding through the tree. However, if you are far enough into the game and are in Chapter 2: Ancient Technology, defeating the Deathstalker Kemono will immediately open the Karakuri path right next to the mirror.
wild hearts is available on PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC. Check out Siliconera’s official game review.
