The 1st and 2nd generation of the Vtuber Hololive agency have landed in an update for Holocure, the fan-made vampire survivors-like the game Kay Yu. Holocure pits the idols of Hololive against hordes of mind-controlled fanatics in a 2D pixel action game inspired by Vampire Survivors and Magic Survival. It originally launched in June 2022, with its first major update coming in September of the same year.
The new update adds the first generation of the Japanese branch consisting of Natsuiro Matsuri, Aki Rosenthal, Akai Haato, and Yozora Mel, as well as the second generation consisting of Murasaki Shion, Yuzuki Choco, Oozora Subaru, Nakiri Ayame, and Minato Aqua. The game now features 24 characters, each with their own weapon and abilities, with an in-game screen showing the inclusion of the Indonesian branch of Hololive in the upcoming update.
Although the game is not affiliated with Cover Corp. and Hololive, lead developer Kay Yu has worked with the agency before, such as on the animation music video for the song “Q” by Gawr Gura and Calliope Mori of Hololive, with music by DECO*. 27. The video hit the 20 million views milestone earlier this year.
Holocure is immediately available on PC for free on Itch.io, and its new update is now available. For more details, see the game Twitter account.
