The standard edition of Hogwarts Legacy hasn’t been out for a week yet, and developer Avalanche has already delivered a patch for Xbox and PC players! Hogwarts Legacy build ‘1120320’ is now live on Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S, fixing a bunch of bugs and generally improving the overall experience.
Here are the full patch notes for this Hogwarts Legacy update, which check in at just under 3 GB on Xbox Series X.

- Enable frame generation when DLSS is disabled.
- Screen resolution and anti-aliasing settings are disabled when using DLSS and not super resolution.

- Fixed issue with RTAO looking worse than SSAO.
- Default setting set to Medium Quality.

- Optimized compilation of shader types.
- Shader builds performance updates and feature enhancements.
- Fixed a crash that affected the usability of Text2Speech.

- Addressed an issue with Nvidia GPUs having a lower frame rate than AMD.
- DirectX version 12
- Please note that DirectX version 12 is required to run Hogwarts Legacy on PC. We don’t suggest trying any workarounds to run the game with DirectX version 11 as it may cause stability issues when starting the game and player experience.
