It looks like Hogwarts Legacy VR will soon be coming to life, thanks to a transformative mod for the Unreal Engine that will enable VR support for the Harry Potter RPG. As we get closer to the Hogwarts Legacy release date, if you want to explore the School of Witchcraft and Wizardry in more detail than ever before, new in-game footage shows Hogwarts Legacy VR in action. Oh, and it should also work for Epic’s shooter, Fortnite.

Developed by “Praydog”, the VR mod that previously added VR support for Resident Evil 2, the aptly named “UE VR Injector” mod will offer VR support for games using the Unreal Engine, which includes Hogwarts Legacy. If you want to feel like you’re actually inside the Hogwarts Legacy map, or personally casting all those Hogwarts Legacy spells, that’s coming soon.

With early access to Hogwarts Legacy, the VR channel Flat2VR has already tested the Harry Potter Praydog mod in-game. There is no motion control support at this time, which means the mod, at all For all intents and purposes, is visual only: you can turn your head and look around Hogwarts, but you’ll still need to use a normal controller.

Also, there is no set release date yet for the UE VR injector, so we might have to wait. Keep an eye on Praydog’s Patreon for more updates. In addition to Hogwarts Legacy, you can also take a look at Fortnite VR for more proof of concept.

You can also meet every Hogwarts Legacy character you come across. You might also want to browse the Hogwarts Legacy Challenges to find out what awaits you in your fifth year of study. Harry Potter series creator JK Rowling has made a number of transphobic comments on social media in recent years. Warner Bros. has the license to create games based on Harry Potter. Although the details of this agreement are not known to the public and WB Games claims that “JK Rowling is not directly involved in the creation of the game”, it is likely that as creator and owner of the intellectual property of Harry Potter, she receives royalties on your sales.
