Many Hogwarts Legacy mods have appeared since the release of the Harry Potter RPG, some with the aim of fixing ongoing issues and others adding new content to the game. But this addition to Hogwarts Legacy has to be one of the most rare, providing a comical answer to the question “Is Hagrid in Hogwarts Legacy?”
Uploaded by CHRBRG, ‘Hagrid Paintings’ adds the beloved school gardener to Hogwarts Legacy through some of the castle’s famous living paintings. However, all is not as it seems as there is also video and audio to go along with the Hogwarts Legacy mod.
Oh, it’s also PS1 Hagrid, because of course it is.
So while this technically expands the roster of Hogwarts Legacy characters, it’s not exactly aimed at trying to take Hagrid back in time in a friendly way.
CHRBRG also explains how to install the Hogwarts Legacy Mod, you must first go to the Steam directory. Then replace the following with the downloaded files:
- C:SteamsteamappscommonHogwarts LegacyPhoenixContentMoviesATL_Portrait_9_Music.bk2
- C:SteamsteamappscommonHogwarts LegacyPhoenixContentMoviesATL_Portrait_9_Music_LQ.bk2
Is this mod immersive? Not precisely. Does that make much sense? Not as well. But that doesn’t mean Hagrid isn’t worth getting into Hogwarts Legacy by any means necessary.
