Fengxi is, like Zhuyan before him, a fairly straightforward boss in Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty. Because there aren’t many moves in his repertoire and he telegraphs all of his attacks very obviously, he’s actually a very easy boss to fight. Once you’ve seen through Fengxi’s attack patterns, you shouldn’t have much trouble with him.
As Zhao Yun says, as soon as the fight starts, Fengxi likes to charge, and you can definitely use that to your advantage. Not only is it very easy to parry, but even if you don’t deflect Fengxi’s charge, he can sometimes crash into a wall. If you have Absorb Vitality, this is the perfect opportunity to restore all lost HP. Otherwise, you can use this opportunity to attack him as much as you want. He doesn’t stay dormant for long, so keep an eye out for when he wakes up.
Fengxi has a morale of 20. This means you should also have around that number if you want to fight on an even footing. However, like all the other bosses in Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty, you don’t necessarily need to push yourself for morale just to prepare for Fengxi. Morale is more about reducing damage per hit and increasing your own attack. But if you prefer a challenge, then the Fengxi is perfectly beatable even when you have minimal morale.
Once you reduce Fengxi’s health to half, she starts adding more moves to her repertoire. It has several attacks where it lunges at you, either after a jump or after a bit of a waddle. There’s also one where he moves around, creating shockwaves that you can stop. However, it’s safer to keep your distance for this one. By the way, Zhao Yun is, like he was in Zhuyan’s fight, pretty useless. But you can definitely use it as a meat shield or as a lure.
To quickly recap, Fengxi’s primary sources of damage come from his Charge Attacks and Shockwaves. Although you can avoid their frantic movements simply by keeping your distance, you must actively try to deflect their charges. Its movements are quite slow and you can easily deplete its Spirit Gauge with a successful parry. You can also lean so that it hits a wall, which will knock it over. If you keep that in mind, you should have little trouble defeating Fengxi.
