We regularly see engineers or simple DIY enthusiasts taking and transforming old and current consoles. Today it is on the side of the United States and Tennessee that we turn our gaze to observe a giant Switch.

Created by Michael Pick, who describes himself as an “occasional engineer” had fun creating a 650% bigger Switch than the original console.

It measures 177.8 cm long, 76.2 cm high and over 30 kg. This giant reproduction could be only decorative, but no, it works, as shown in the video posted by the designer.

Mainly in wood, this giant console is equipped with real Joy-Con, placed in 3D printed supports, which communicate with the buttons of the giant version via a system of mechanical levers, and has a large 4K screen.

On Reddit, Michael Pick said:

I really like the Nintendo Switch. It’s small, it’s portable, but it’s really easy to lose, and for me that was a problem. So I decided to solve this problem by making something a little bigger, and just a little harder to lose.

Wishing to go beyond the creative performance aspect and give meaning to his creation, Michael Pick donated his giant Switch to a children’s hospital in Nashville. “The kids loved it! Honestly, that was the best part of (creating) this version,” Pick added.
