General manager of Bandai Namco and Tekken 8 CEO Katsuhiro Harada took to Twitter to discuss the possibility of an effect brightness accessibility option being implemented in the game. He noted that he was talking about it as a feature with director Kohei “Nakatsu” Ikeda. This came after a user on Twitter mentioned that the flashy effects hurt to watch and can keep you from playing. The person specifically cited the gameplay shown in Nina Williams’ reveal trailer.
In response to this user’s comment, Harada noted that he considered an option to adjust the brightness. He then also noticed that he was telling Nakatsu about it being in the game’s options menu.
Ok, so I’m talking to Director Nakatsu about implementing a feature that lets you adjust the brightness from the Options menu for those who find the effect too bright.

In other words, it is an effect brightness adjustment option only. It should be quite effective when combined with the full screen fit option.

This does not guarantee that there will be a VFX brightness option in tekken 8 as an accessibility option. Harada noted that it is still under consideration.
Don’t get me wrong, I don’t always “confirm” something in advance. Everything is “considered” until it is officially announced or launched.

Harada also passed something like cause for concern when we discuss this tekken 8 accessibility feature possible. He noted, “I don’t trust the comments of those who use [“We” in the guise of the majority] when it comes to individual opinions and individual preferences. He then said he preferred people to specifically note that they were the ones asking.
Anyway, just say your own request. It is not necessary to use [We] oh [Many of us] claim to be a majority, and you don’t have to represent the will of a community of unknown size anywhere. I use SNS to hear your personal opinion. I do not intend to collect statistical data here.
