Today, publisher Modus Games and developer Crackshell announced that Hammerwatch II is in development for To change. The title is planned for this summer.

Hammerwatch II delivers an enhanced and richer Hammerwatch gaming experience with new immersive environments to explore. Go on quests, collect items, battle new enemies, and face challenging bosses, all in four-player co-op.
Blight the Horrible and his army of dragons have succeeded in their sinister plot to overthrow King Roland and sow destruction in the kingdom of Herian, but hope lies deep within the sewer system, where the resistance movement of the king rages. By order of the king, a few powerful and skilled heroes have been tasked with defeating the dragons of Blight and restoring the kingdom.
Venture alone or assemble a party to aid King Roland’s resistance in four-player online co-op, tackling diverse and epic quests across the vast and dynamic world of Hammerwatch II. Travel through Hammer Island, the Fallowfields and the dark mountainous regions of Blackbarrow, all created in Hammerwatch’s signature pixel art style. Build a custom Herian hero and choose from five different character classes: Paladin, Ranger, Rogue, Mage, and Warlock before customizing a hero’s appearance and leveling up to unlock powerful new abilities.
Today’s trailer also shows off the first look at the world of Hammerwatch II: new day/night cycles give players a sense of a living world around them and contribute to smarter enemy AI so as they battle beasts, slay hordes of undead, and clash with forces. struggle in this epic ode to classic ARPGs.
Fans can expect an all-new map builder. Modify levels, create new stories and be the author of your own adventure.

Modus Games also announced a special edition of Hammerwatch II, Hammerwatch II: The Chronicles Edition, which will retail and digitally for $39.99. This includes the original Hammerwatch Remastered and additional character color palettes, facial elements, and a character voice pack. Amazon is taking pre-orders here.
