Since the announcement of the postponement of Halo Infinite to next fall, 343 Industries has chosen the discretion, giving only a few information here and there. However, the studio had planned to say more at the start of 2021, and that’s what will happen.

It is on Reddit that the studio has expressed, through one of its community manager. No direct information on Halo Infinite, but an update on how the communication will unfold in the weeks and months to come, all with the aim of reassuring the community:

Keep in mind that many of us weren’t in the office for more than two weeks at the end of the year, and it’s time to get back into the mix. We’ve also confirmed a fall release window, so it’s clear we have a path ahead and time. That said, we are committed to provide important updates on a monthly basis, and the next “Inside Infinite” will arrive this week!

This month we’ll be chatting with members of the sandbox team to share their vision for Halo Infinite and the work they do. To manage expectations, it won’t be a World Premiere image or something big like a release date, but our goal is to give our community more context and insight into our team, into the game we are making, while we all wait for the pace to pick up and the big marketing machine kicks in later this year.

Halo Infinite had to initially support the launch of the Xbox Series last November, but the game’s presentation in July and the feedback it sparked prompted the studio to extend development time. If these returns were sometimes very virulent, the developers considered that they were beneficial, and that they will allow the release of a title capable of satisfying fans of the license. See you in the week to learn new things about the return of the Master Chief.
