BAFTA surprised everyone by choosing Vampire Survivors as the best game of 2022. God of War: Ragnarok received the most statuettes.
The winners of the British Academy of Film and Television Arts Awards in the video games category for 2022 have been announced.
The results are incredible. In fact, the game of the year was… Vampire survivors. This small indie game has beaten giants like old ring oh God of War: Ragnarok. However, this should perhaps not surprise us. After all, no other game of 2022 has had such an industry-wide impact, and now it’s hard to find a week in which at least one blockbuster clone hasn’t appeared.

God of War: Ragnarok was the most-received, with 14 nominations, and eventually became the most-awarded game overall, closing the gala with five BAFTA statuettes (for Best Animation, Best Direction sound, best music and best role) primary and secondary) and an additional special EE prize.
Recall that last year the BAFTAs also surprised by recognizing the shooter Returnal as the best game of the year, which won in three categories, including the most important, Best game of the year.
