Sony announces a free update for God of War on PS5. Like the developers via the short message service Twitter an enhanced performance patch is available as a free download from today. With the update, the developers are introducing a new graphics mode for God of War, which is specially optimized for the hardware performance of the PS5. A 4K checkerboard resolution (2160p) and 60 frames per second are promised.
Thanks to the backward compatibility of the PlayStation 5, almost all PS4 games can also be played on the new Sony console. God of War is one of the games that will receive an additional update to adapt the gaming experience to the PlayStation 5. You can find out which PS4 games run “better on the PS5” in a games database that we recently reported on. God of War had previously used the two display options on the PS5 that could also be selected on the PS4 Pro – either with a higher resolution or a better frame rate.
