Reddit user 604WeekendWarrior shared some screenshots of an image that surprised them when they returned to the MW2 hall.
Instead of seeing their player character on the menu screen, the user found their soldier posed faceless, a bug that dates back to Assassin’s Creed Unity’s infamous faceless bug. In this case, the bug was a PC-specific issue stemming from certain graphics cards: “I’m not going to lie, this issue surprised me when I came back to the lobby,” the Redditor said.
Suffice to say that it is not the most beautiful sight to find oneself suddenly in all circumstances. It’s easy to see why the player was so shocked: “This is scary,” wrote one user in response to the Reddit post. “Zombies confirmed,” someone else joked in the thread, mocking the odd graphical glitch.
So far, it has not been revealed if and when this bug will receive a fix. For now though, Modern Warfare 2 players may want to be on their guard for potential scares involving Call of Duty’s Faceless Soldiers, be warned.
