Gears 6 formalized by job offers?
A few months ago, the studio recruited technicians specialized in motion capture, as well as a main mission designer to work on the saga. As relayed by our media colleagues from Eurogamer, the company just posted a plethora of exciting new job openings.
Although the title “Gears 6” is not quite present, we still find the mention “Gears of War” with the aim of “forging the future of IP and pushing the limits of Microsoft’s entertainment platforms and devices”. Several of these roles will even be involved in leading the “level design team through mentorship, training, and hands-on feedback that motivates and inspires their work.”
Regarding the position of Senior Multiplayer Designer sought by The Coalition, this “will help create cooperative and competitive AAA gaming experiences, including high-level concepts for low-level tuning and balancing”. Applicants will work with creative directors and lead designers on multiplayer modes and features and will take ownership of multiplayer gameplay features from concept to delivery.
Based on this information, it is therefore unthinkable not to see a new work marketed in the years to come. It could also offer a co-op campaign with a particularly interesting setting. In effect, Joshua Ortega, the lead writer for Gears of War 2, recently joined the company…
