Dead Island 2 is nearly ready after roughly a decade of development time, and ahead of next month’s release, the team has revealed just how much players can expect from the title.
In a new interview with Wccftech, Adam Olsson of Dambuster Studios mentioned that the next zombie killer is about 20 hours – and that takes into account some of the secondary content of the game.
“I don’t know exactly. I think we have a guide that if you do some side quests and other activities, the full experience is around 20 hours. That’s what we have (…) but plus, we’ve got co-op, collectibles, and you can always replay Dead Island 2 with a new character if you feel like it.”
This strikes us as the perfect kind of length, and will hopefully prevent the over-the-top nature of Dead Island 2 from surviving its reception. 20 hours wandering around Los Angeles beating up zombies as we please? Pursue!
In fact, we’ve already played the first five hours or so and it’s safe to say we had a great time on “HELL-A”. The full game was released on April 21 for Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S.
