The online shooter Fortnite goes offline for a few hours this morning. The development studio Epic Games has announced corresponding maintenance work via Twitter in order to prepare everything for the new update 15.50 and of course to install it in the end.
According to current plans, the starting signal for the downtime of the servers will be given around 10:00 a.m. German time. The matchmaking system will be switched off half an hour earlier: You will join your last game before the start of downtime at 9:30 a.m.
How long the maintenance work will take is not yet known. Experience has shown, however, that the servers should go online again in the course of midday.
Concrete patch notes for the update of Fortnite 15.50 does not exist at the moment. However, the Epic Games team has already announced some of the changes in advance.
Accordingly, the hand cannon returns to the vault, and there is talk of the return of another item. In the creative mode of the online shooter, you can expect an additional size setting for the island as well as translated support for the Featured Creative Hub.
It is also conceivable that the new version could contain some further references to the suggested crossover event with the popular series Family Guy. Epic Games has not yet commented on this in more detail. As soon as the full patch notes for the update are known, you will of course find them immediately in our Gaming section.
